Support Heart of Gold

The mission of the Heart of Gold Foundation is to help needy children with health issues, and especially to send children with heart disease in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to
summer camp.

The Dallas-based Heart of Gold Foundation's funds go to support Camp Moss, a week-long summer camp every year at Camp John Marc in North Texas for children who have had heart surgeries.

Heart of Gold helps staff the camp with doctors, nurses, and the medical equipment these kids need in order to have a true summer camp experience.

The Heart of Gold Foundation has been blessed with the opportunity of making  places like Camp Moss possible – with your help. Together, we made this camp experience possible for 120 children in 2007 alone.

It’s amazing to see the healing power that fishing, horseback riding, water balloon fighting, meeting new friends and just being silly has on kids who have had a life of deprivation because of heart surgeries.

The Camp is staffed by doctors and nurses from the Cardiology Department of Children’s Hospital, and has an on-site Intensive Care Unit.  Heart of Gold ensures that these medical professionals get the equipment and the support they need to allow these kids to have as ordinary a summer camp experience as possible.

Nothing will make you smile like helping a child just be a kid.

To help support Heart of Gold and Camp Moss, please come play in our October 16, 2008 golf tournament, or contact the Heart of Gold at 214.394.6115 and see how you can have a "Heart of Gold" and help put a smile on the face of a child in need.
